Refined Foods and Tobacco

The comparison between tobacco and refined foods shows similarities and differences that may impact research into the addictive properties of refined food.  This is of interest particularly with regard to withdrawal and relapse syndromes.  These are more pronounce in refined foods than tobacco and can therefore contribute to the development of understanding of the course of refined food addiction. The differences between tobacco and food point to opportunities that, if realized, could make refined food research more effective at reducing suffering caused by ReFA.
