They need objective criteria to determine whether a client should be referred for a more in-depth diagnosis. The need for assessment tools for refined food addiction is great.

They cannot determine who would benefit from residential treatment as opposed to those who just need the information that refined foods may be causing problems. The need for objective diagnostic critieria that would lead to appropriate treatment is great.
